TASTING THE DIFFERENCE IN ALRESFORD

An Alresford business has been the first to be recognised twice for its outstanding service to customers.
Congratulations to Nigel and Eunice Foundling and the Team at C.E. Evans & Son who are the dual winners of the Alresford Chamber of Commerce’s Over & Above Customer Service Award, 2012.
This coveted Award is presented each year to a Alresford Chamber Business that has demonstrated customer service over and above the norm.
‘I organise a lunch on Christmas day for people in Alresford who would otherwise be alone. Each year many local businesses give us donations and discounts, including Evans. This year they provided pigs-in-blankets free of charge as they did last year and the year before (which was the first year of my involvement).
This year the business who said they might be able to supply the turkey crown (to feed 34 people) finally let me know that they couldn’t do so, exactly a week before the big day. It was far too late to order one from the big supermarkets – but Evans were unfazed and provided a very tasty bird at cost price. I really appreciate their help.’

Judy Smith was presented with a bottle of De Malherbe Brut as her prize for taking the time to nominate a business for the award.
An excellent year for entries, the Over & Above Award is the award to win in the Alresford business community. C.E. Evans & Son were presented with the Shield by Simon Evans, Chairman of the Alresford Chamber of Commerce.
