Alresford Community Centre, 11th September at 5.30pm
There are an estimated 800,000 people in the UK living with dementia. Many live at home and are supported by family members.
Following the successful launch of Dementia Friendly communities in Alton, Romsey, Fleet and elsewhere we’d like to make Alresford a Dementia Friendly Town —somewhere that people with dementia can feel safe, understood and valued. Where they can live as independently as possible but still be part of the community and where they are met with understanding and given support when they need it.
We’re organising an information meeting to be held at the Alresford Community Centre at 5.30pm on 11th September. We will have representatives from Andover Mind and the Alzheimer’s Society present to give us their experience of similar initiatives elsewhere in Hampshire and to answer any questions you might have.
Book your place now and find out how you can play your part in making Alresford an even better place to live for those with dementia and their families. To find out more call Steve on 01962 736681 or email steve.gapper@homeinstead.co.uk
