The winner of the ‘Business Award 2014’ is George Cann Garden Machinery. The criteria for the award were based upon innovation, progression & stand out ability within the Alresford Chamber of Commerce business community.
George Cann began his small mower repair business quite literally in a shed at the bottom of the garden forty one years ago.
Today his son, Steve, and daughter, Jill carry on the family business from a large showroom and workshop in Bramdean in the Hampshire countryside a few miles out of Alresford.
In September the business received the 2014 Garden Machinery Dealer of the year award, which was for recognition of outstanding sales and service advice and support provided to customers in the garden machinery industry.
‘We are extremely fortunate to have the support of a very experienced workforce in Andy, Ken and Steve. Indeed these three men total well over 70 years of service between them at Bramdean’ said Jill Vickery.
The Business Award was voted upon by the members of the Alresford Chamber of Commerce Committee.
